With TOP A side rakes you benefit from the highest flexibility. On our rotary rakes, a wide range of working widths is possible thanks to the ingenious steering system on the rear rotor. Our three models reach a working width of up to 6,30 m / 6,90 m / 7,80 m in double swath mode.

• MULTITAST jockey wheel

PÖTTINGER has been offering the MULTITAST wheel system on rakes for the past three decades. The most important objective is to produce clean forage for healthy, high-yield animals. At the same time you conserve the sward. Offset in front of the rotor, the wheel guarantees perfect ground tracking without the tines contacting the ground. In addition there is less force acting on the arm control rollers and tines, which extends the service life of your machine.

• TOPTECH PLUS rotor unit

The cam track is infinitely variable adjustable. As a result your rake can be adapted flexibly to different crops and harvesting conditions.

• Tines

PÖTTINGER tines do not need to be set too low, conserving the sward and forage as a result. Another advantage is that there is less stress on the cam track and arm control rollers, which contributes to the durability of the machine.

• Running gear

TOP A rakes are equipped with tandem axles as standard. The wide chassis provides first class ground tracking and the best stability on slopes. The best quality forage is therefore guaranteed.

• Flexible frame

The rear rotor, which is connected to the front one by a flexible frame, can be pivoted to the left or right by a hydraulic cylinder. This makes it possible to rake a double swath or two single swaths. One double-acting spool valve is needed for this.

• Attachment

The drawbar is equipped with a large support plate to provide you with extra stability on steep ground and when cornering. Various types of mounting are available.

• CURVETECH

Two hydraulic cylinders work together to steer the rear rotor. An additional linkage between the front pivot point of the main frame and the hydraulic cylinder ensures optimised overlap of the two rotor units when cornering. Maximum utilisation of the working width is guaranteed.
